The September General Fair, TIF, has been the most important event for the city of Thessaloniki, Greece, the Balkans and the geographically single region of the Eastern Mediterranean, in general, since it was first organised in 1926.

The 81st TIF exceeded every expectation!

Entrepreneurship, culture, education, science, technology and recreation were harmoniously combined at the 81st TIF to make up an excellent Fair.

The 81st TIF was the largest Fair of the last five years in terms of exhibitors and exhibition space, while official international participations came from 18 countries.

With 13 thematic exhibitions and a rich schedule of side events covering every taste and age, the priorities of the 81st TIF were innovation, high technology, business growth, extroversion and entertainment.

The Honoured Country was Russia, which participated in the Fair with numerous enterprises and a rich schedule of events. In this context, the Greek-Russian Business Forum was held, presenting prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

Over 210,000 visitors gave their ‘vote of confidence’ to the 81st anniversary TIF (10 - 18 September 2016), visiting the Fair and staying in the broader region for an extended period of time, thus benefiting local transport, accommodation, catering and recreation businesses.
